“Dufour’s Pastry Doughs and Tart Shells Are Now Kosher”
Bronx, NY, June, 2014 -- Dufour Pastry Kitchens announces their frozen, ready-to-bake pastry doughs and tart shells are now KOF-K Kosher Dairy certified.
Dufour’s CEO, Judi Arnold, said “We are extremely happy to respond to the many requests we’ve received for Kosher certification. All our pastry ingredients have passed KOF-K’s requirements, and we continue to produce the exact same high quality products that have earned us our reputation as “the chef’s secret source.”
This includes Dufour’s all-butter Classic Puff Pastry, available in foodservice for chefs and in a 14 oz. retail box for home consumers. The Dufour brand has represented the finest, tender, flaky, puff pastry in the marketplace for over 20 years. Winner of multiple awards, their Classic Puff Pastry has been named 2014 sofiTM finalist, Outstanding Classic, by the International Specialty Food Association. They continue to use only churned sweet butter, unbleached flour, water, salt, and lemon juice. Their butter source remains an upstate New York creamery.
Dufour’s tart shells range from the 1 1/2” Mini to 3,” 4,” 5,” and 6” for the foodservice market. They come in flaky, traditional pastry, as well as provencal herb, corn, blue corn, chocolate and pate sucree. The traditional Mini Tart Shell comes in a retail 12 pack as well.
Other pastry dough products are also available from Dufour including all-butter Chocolate Puff Pastry, with natural cocoa, confectioner’s sugar and natural flavorings. It is available in both foodservice and retail and makes spectacular desserts.
The KOF-K Kosher certificate is available upon request.
At this time, their prize-winning hors d’oeuvre line is not under KOF-K Kosher certification.
